Head Coach - Morgan Crawford

Coach Morgan Crawford joined our organization in 2022 as our very first Head Softball Coach, setting the tone for the program from day one. A standout player at Division I Hampton University, Coach Crawford brought her experience and competitive edge back home to the 757 after graduation, where she began coaching locally and making an immediate impact.

For several years, she was a staple at Coastal Sports Center, giving private lessons and helping countless athletes sharpen their swings, improve their glove work, and build confidence on and off the field. She now leads 5 Star National as a Head Coach, continuing to pour into the same group of athletes she started with and helping them grow together as a team.

Coach Crawford’s passion for the game shows in every rep, every drill, and every dugout huddle. She’s known for her high energy, detailed instruction, and love for developing players into not just better athletes, but better teammates and leaders. Whether it’s breaking down mechanics, hyping up her team after a big play, or celebrating the small victories along the way, she embodies what it means to “grow the game.”

Softball isn’t just something Coach Crawford does—it’s who she is. And we’re proud to have her leading the charge in shaping the next generation of athletes.

Assistant Coach - Cass Howerin

Coach Howerin brings an exceptional level of experience and leadership to our program. A standout athlete at Virginia Wesleyan University, she is a two-time National Champion and a three-time First Team All-American at first base. Her impact on the game earned her three inductions into the Virginia Wesleyan Hall of Fame—twice as part of championship teams and once for her individual achievements.

She also holds the distinction of being the NCAA Career Leader in Walks, a testament to her elite plate discipline, game awareness, and offensive consistency.

Following her playing career, Coach Howerin transitioned into coaching, spending a year as an Assistant Coach at Shenandoah University, where she continued to develop athletes both on and off the field.

Her passion for the game, competitive mindset, and commitment to player development make her an outstanding addition to our softball staff.
